Cecelia Boardman, MD

Dr. Boardman was born and raised outside of Philadelphia, PA. She received her BS cum laude in Chemistry from Yale University and then her MD from University of Pennsylvania. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Magee-Womens Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA and then completed one year research postdoctoral fellowship at the Magee-Womens Research Institute. Dr. Boardman then completed a Gynecologic Oncology fellowship at The Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN before joining the faculty at VCU Health System. She is active in translational and clinical research at Massey Cancer Center and sheserves as the principal investigator for the Gynecologic Oncology Group (GOG) trials. Dr. Boardman is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology and is a fellow of The American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and The American College of Surgeons. Dr. Boardman sees patients at Stony Point Women's Center and Massey Cancer Center. |
Weldon Chafe, MD

Dr. Weldon Chafe earned his medical degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland in St. John’s, Newfoundland, Canada. He completed a Rotating internship at the Jewish General Hospital in Montreal, Quebec and then completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology in the McGill University Teaching Hospitals in Montreal. He then went on to complete a fellowship in Gynecology Oncology at the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill. He has held faculty appointments at the University of Florida, Dartmouth College, Eastern Virginia Medical School and is now the Dianne Harris Wright Professor of Gynecology Oncology and Division Director of Gynecology Oncology at the Medical College of Virginia at Virginia Commonwealth University. Dr. Chafe is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Gynecology Oncology and is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, The American College of Surgeons and the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada. Dr. Chafe sees patients at Stony Point Women’s Center and the Massey Cancer Center. |
