Ellen Brock, MD

Dr. Brock earned her medical degree from the Medical University of South Carolina, and completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Virginia Hospitals.  Dr. Brock is a member of numerous professional societies including the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.  She is the Medical Director of the Center for Human Simulation and Patient Safety at VCU Medical Center where she has pioneered the use of patient simulators in surgical training.  Her main areas of expertise include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery and laparoscopy.  Dr. Brock served as the head of the section of General Gynecology at VCU Medical Center from 1992-2008.  She sees patients at Nelson Clinic.


Aaron Goldberg, MD

Dr. Goldberg graduated from the VCU School of Medicine and subsequently completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at VCU Medical Center. Following his residency, he joined the faculty as an assistant professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Among his areas of interest are minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, laparoscopy, resident education, and the use of simulation technology in obstetrics and gynecology, as well as surgical training. He is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. Dr. Goldberg sees patients at the Nelson Clinic.

Nicole Karjane, MD

Nicole Karjane, MD Dr. Karjane is an assistant professor in the department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she serves as Medical Director of the Mother Infant Unit as well as assistant residency program director. She graduated magna cum laude from Ursinus College, and then earned her medical degree from the Penn State College of Medicine. She completed her residency training at Virginia Commonwealth University, where she joined the faculty in 2004. Dr. Karjane has received numerous teaching awards, and enjoys all aspects of women’s health care, particularly minimally invasive surgery. She is a member of multiple professional societies including the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the North American Society for Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology, and the Association for Professors of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
